Northpointe Bank has partnered with several local organizations to provide assistance to those in need.   The Neighborhood Impact Program (NIP) provides rehabilitation assistance to homeowners with household incomes at, or below 80% of the area median income.  The maximum subsidy per household is $7,500.

This program has allowed people to make much needed improvements to their home.  Below is Brenda’s story.

Brenda is a proud mother to a child with disabilities.  In addition she has owned her home for more than 17 years.   Given the amount of time that she has spent taking care of her child her home had fallen into a state of disrepair.  Brenda’s home needed a front door replacement, new siding, improvements to her gutters along with many other items.  All of the replacements and labor to her home added up to $7,440.  Coming in just under the $7,500 price cap.

When asked about her experience Brenda said, ‘ I loved the experience. I think the program is very good for homeowners to get the repairs done at no cost to them.  I would have never had the funds to get the work done myself.  I really appreciate this program.’
